New Rowers

Get in a Gig!

In the spring Cattewater run taster sessions (otherwise known as get in a Gig) for people to come along and have a go at rowing. Don’t worry if you have never rowed before, we will show you the ropes.

Get in a Gig sessions are run by experienced coxswains and rowers. They aim to give you a taste of what gig rowing involves and introduce the basic rowing technique.

Learn to Row

After the Get in a Gig sessions, you’ll be invited to join a Learn to Row course. Again, these are run by competent and experienced coxswains.

If you would like to continue rowing with us after your Learn to Row course, you can then sign up and become a full member of Cattewater Gig Club.

Membership

Cattewater membership runs from 1st June until 31st May however new members can join any time.

Please contact us for the latest membership costs and to discuss membership options.
